New Key Term 1: 180 degree rule definition
The 180 degree rule is a guideline for the on-screen relationship between a character or another character/object in the scene. The camera should be kept on the imaginary 'axis', with the main character in the right frame and the second character on the left. The camera should stay on one side of this axis during the scene.

Previous AS C/W "The Closet"
Questions
1. What genre is this? Why?
In my opinion this is a Dramatic tragedy! I say this because the feelings that she shows to the audience about the news that she has just received of being HIV positive is very shocking and saddening, making the audience feel pity and sad for her. The music and sound effects used give the audience the right idea that her life has changed completely due to a one night stand and that the letter she has just received from the NHS is something that will mark her for the rest of her life. This shows the audience that she regrets everything that occurred in that night, especially by showing the flashbacks in black and white as this gives a sense of bad memories.

2. What is the main plot?
The main plot is about a young teenage girl having a one night stand after going to a party and becoming drunk. Some time later she discoveres that she is HIV positive due to that night and immediately regrets that night.
3. What enigma (mystery/puzzle/riddle) is created?
In my opinion the mystery is how will she be able live with the fact that due to that one night her whole life has changed completely. How will she tell her family and friends what happened? This is also a valuable lesson to the audience as they understand that before we do something we should always think because our actions have consequences that can be very serious and change out life completely.
4. Using mark scheme, WWW?
The filming of the opening sequence was well done and I also found the storyline was really well written and acted as it intregued me into wanting to watch the rest. I also enjoyed the part where she receives the news and to show that she is in shock she drops the letter. (Slow motion is used) this gives the audience a feeling that she is in shock and from this day forward her life will change for ever.
5. Using mark scheme, EBI (how could it be improved?)
Her reaction to the new could have been more shocking and also the use of more sound effects and special effects could have been used and developed to give the audience a more sense of reality and also to make them feel the tension and depression that the girl will now have to face in her life.
HW: reviews on yr 12
The closet: I found "the closet" very realistic and extremely terrifying due to the visuals perceived throughout the introduction of the film. It was thrilling and I was very intrigued as to what the film had to offer to its viewers!
I enjoyed the fact that they had good special effects and how they used the whole scenery! I think that they could have used different cameras shots for example a zoom in on the door knob to give the scene a bigger suspense.
Runaway: I found the "runaway" very intense and emotional. It was quite a sad 2 min opening in my opinion as the girls emotions and feelings were very deep.
I liked the last scene because it was a moment of suspense!
They could have improved by adding more background information about her past to make the opening more interesting.
Overall, I enjoyed both openings especially the closet as it was a more dramatic and interesting opening.
